USMTS and Trantina Promotions Announce Inaugural Dig for Gold Modified Nationals for August 2027

Webster City, IA — Officials from the Summit Racing Equipment United States Modified Touring Series presented by RacinDirt.com and promoter James Trantina have announced the creation of one of the richest and most ambitious Modified racing events in the Upper Midwest for 2027.

The Inaugural Dig for Gold Modified Nationals will feature four nights of racing at three premier Minnesota dirt tracks on August 12-15, 2027. "This event is about bringing together the best Modified racers in the country and giving fans an opportunity to see USMTS and WISSOTA competitors battle head-to-head over four nights," said Trantina. "The combination of great racetracks, substantial purses, and bonus money should make this one of the most anticipated events of the season."

The four-race swing begins at the historic I-94 Speedway in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, before moving to North Central Speedway in Brainerd and concluding at Granite City Motorsports Park in Sauk Rapids.

In addition to the nightly purses, drivers will compete for a series of bonus awards, including a $2,000 bonus for the WISSOTA driver with the best average finish over the four events and bonus money for drivers winning multiple races during the weekend.
